WriteWay is a very reasonably priced product with quite a few well-implemented features making it one of the best values in writing software and one of TopTenREVIEWS top ten.
There are two downsides to WriteWay. The program is only compatible with Windows 2000, 98SE, XP and Vista, so if you use a Mac you're going to have to find something else. In addition, the developer doesn't offer a lot of help or customer support, so you're on your own to discover the capabilities of WriteWay.

Feature Set:

WriteWay is a master in story organization; it easily sets up into acts, chapters and scenes. The character profile is easy to find and implement—a series of questions and a description, make it easier to mold your character.

The note card templates are also very convenient and allow you to organize your thoughts before beginning to write your story. You can choose from many different note card templates from character to subplots note cards.

Ease of Use:

This program is quite user-friendly, with handy navigational features that make finding and accessing writing tools a cinch. You can easily add and remove chapters and scenes.

WriteWay also has a word processor built in, making this program even more convenient.

Ease of Installation:

We had no problems downloading the program and the installation process was quick and easy.

Help/Support:

WriteWay developers offer very little as far as tech support and help options go. The only way to obtain tech support is through email and the FAQ web page.

Under the help topic, you are limited to what you can find in the table of contents and you can’t use keyword search to target specific problems so you have to spend a considerable amount of time searching for your answers.

Summary:

If you don’t want to invest a lot in a creative writing program, but still want a decent product, WriteWay may be the software for you. It comes priced right and with lots of useful features and you can always upgrade to the professional version if you desire more. The only draw back is the limited tech support and miniscule help options.
